July 14, 2009

Here are some upcoming local events that may be of some interest to filmmakers in the city (Note: Pittsburgh Community Television does not endorse any particular event listed here):

The 48 Hour Film Project website has more information including registration costs, specific instructions, and events. (Event: weekend of August 7th)
  • Did you create a short film that you are particularly proud of? The Three Rivers Film Festival is accepting submissions (required length = under 25 minutes)! The 3RFF site lists all of the criteria, important dates, and prize descriptions. (Deadline: August 7; Event: November 6-21)
  • Warrior, a movie being filmed in Pittsburgh, is in need of extras for Saturday, July 18th. The Pittsburgh Film Office website has more details.
